Tennis Clubmark is the new club accreditation programme for tennis. All types of tennis club are eligible to apply, including traditional tennis clubs, school clubs and those working within the commercial sector. Achieving Tennis Clubmark means your tennis club delivers quality both on court and in the policies and procedures you have in place off court. By achieving Tennis Clubmark, we believe you are demonstrating that your club is contributing to the delivery of the Blueprint for British Tennis by continually trying to improve the quality of your club, the coaches that work within your club environment and the competition that your club delivers. Tennis Clubmark replaces Ariel Mini Tennis accreditation. The benefits of achieving Tennis Clubmark include recognition for the tennis programmes your club is delivering, increases eligibility to receive LTA funding and the ability to develop partnerships at a local level - many schools and school sport partnerships are stipulating that the clubs they work with must be Tennis Clubmark accredited. If you wiash to apply for Tennis Clubmark please call the County Office on 01942 821194. The criteria for Tennis Clubmark is split into four sections: 1. Club Action Planning provides a framework for clubs to set the priorities for the next year(s), identifying the resources required, who is responsible for ensuring the action is completed and the impact that this will have on your club. The action plan provides a focus for the development of your club and provides you with tools to track progress. 2. Tennis Programmes - produce a documented Tennis Programme listing all the tennis coaching and competition activities happening at your club for adults and juniors and who is responsible for ensuring they are delivered. Understanding what you deliver will help you identify any gaps in provision and help you plan how to improve the tennis programmes you offer. 3. Policies and Procedures Ensuring your club has policies and procedures in place in the areas of child protection, equality and diversity, codes of practice and health and safety. 4. Club Management Ensuring that your club is managed and promoted in line with good practice.
