We at the LTA are dedicated to providing the best progressive development programmes for coaches at every level. At Level 1 you get the highest quality tuition in coaching Ariel Mini Tennis in a supervised environment – ensuring we start you off on the right foot.
The title of the course is the Level 1 Coaching Assistant course and has UKCC (United Kingdom Coaching Certificate) endorsement. This course is a qualification and successful candidates will receive a Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Tennis awarded by 1st4sport.
The Level 1 Coaching Assistant course focuses on the tools you need to help beginners play Ariel Mini Tennis. It will help you develop your communication and organisational skills and it also covers the basic tactical/technical skills needed for beginners to compete at Ariel Mini Tennis. The course also covers issues of health and safety, child protection and equity.
The
structure of the course is 21 hours of tuition with LTA qualified tutors.
This will usually take place over two consecutive days. There is then
a three-to-six week break followed by a final assessment day.
Candidates will also need to complete a CRB Disclosure and attend a Safeguarding
& Protecting Children workshop before receiving their certificate.
The
cost of the course is £185. This is inclusive of all training days
and resources, but not food and travel.
